Last year a budget of Rs 9957.20 crore was fixed. Out of which Rs 6063 crore was kept for land acquisition. However, due to slow process this amount could not be spent completely. This time the authority may consider increasing the rates of its properties by 10 to 20 percent, so that the financial pressure caused by increasing compensation can be balanced.
